New: launched August 2026
A cookie banner that actually blocks trackers
We scan your site for every cookie and tracker, hold third-party scripts back until a visitor consents, and keep an evidentiary log of every decision.
- Google Consent Mode v2 and GPC unlocked on every plan, including Free
- One script tag, plus a ready-made prompt that gets an AI coding agent to tag your existing trackers
- We never suspend your banner or turn off blocking when you go over your visitor cap
Scan results
2 trackers fired before any visitor consented. Retag them and they stop, without touching Stripe or Intercom.
From nothing to a working banner in four steps
Add your domain
Tell us which site to scan. Works with a bare domain or a full URL.
We scan it
A real headless crawl visits your cold, unconsented page and inventories every cookie, script, iframe, pixel and storage key it finds, including ones set before the page ever asks.
Review what's firing
Every tracker is categorized as necessary, preferences, statistics or marketing, with a count of how many fired before any visitor consented.
Configure and embed
Pick a position, theme and accent color, then paste one script tag. Your banner is live.
What makes this different from every other banner
Adding a banner is the easy part. Actually stopping the scripts is where most setups quietly fail.
Actually blocks scripts, not just cookies
Retag a third-party <script src> as data-cmp-category and the browser won't execute it until a visitor consents to that category. iframes work the same way. Nothing fires by accident because nothing was ever real markup to begin with.
A setup prompt built for AI coding agents
Most site owners never learn the tagging convention, so their analytics and ad scripts keep firing before consent even after the banner goes up. Paste our prompt into Claude Code, Cursor, or any coding agent and it finds every tracking script and iframe in your codebase and retags it correctly, leaving anything strictly necessary untouched.
An evidentiary consent log, not just a checkbox
Every visitor decision is recorded: timestamp, per-category consent, banner version shown, whether it came from the banner or Global Privacy Control, and any later withdrawal. Export it as CSV per domain. It's the record a data protection inquiry actually asks for.
Consent Mode v2 and GPC, unlocked from day one
Google's ad_storage, analytics_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization signals, denied by default for EEA visitors until they interact. Global Privacy Control detected and auto-honored, with the confirmation message California has required since Jan 1, 2026. Free tier included, not a paid add-on.

Scan your site freeBuilt to the current bar, not the 2018 one
Consent banner requirements keep moving. GPC opt-out becomes mandatory across a dozen US states from January 2026, California now requires a visible confirmation that an opt-out was honored, and regulators have started fining banners whose reject option is harder to find than accept. This one is built against the current rules, not the ones from a few years ago.
- Accept All and Reject All get equal visual weight on the first layer, the standard the CNIL's €150M SHEIN fine made non-negotiable
- WCAG 2.1 AA banner: full keyboard navigation, stable at 200% zoom, proper contrast and ARIA labeling
- Served from a separate, cookie-less subdomain so the banner itself doesn't become the thing you have to disclose
- Configurable reconsent interval, 365 days by default
Worth being honest about
The banner can only hold back scripts that were tagged before it runs, or that load after the page. Anything added to your site after your last scan needs a rescan, and anything that loads ahead of our script isn't covered. No CMP, ours included, can honestly claim to catch everything automatically forever. That's why scans run on a schedule and why the setup prompt exists, to make correct tagging the default instead of something you have to remember.
How this compares
Built after reading through the recurring complaints about the other consent platforms.

Frequently asked questions
Questions about Cookie Consent before you get started?
Will this actually stop Google Analytics or Meta Pixel from firing before consent?
Yes, but it needs the script tagged first. Change the script's type to text/plain and add data-cmp-category ("statistics" for GA, "marketing" for Meta Pixel, ads and retargeting tools), and the browser won't execute it until a visitor consents to that category. Untagged scripts still run as normal, which is exactly what our AI-agent setup prompt is for: it finds and retags every third-party script and iframe in your codebase in one pass.
What happens if I go over my plan's visitor or domain limit?
Your banner keeps working and keeps blocking. We show an in-app upgrade prompt instead of suspending anything or quietly turning off tracking-blocking, which is common with other providers once you hit a usage cap.
Is Google Consent Mode v2 really included on the free plan?
Yes, on every plan, including Free. We don't gate Consent Mode v2 or Global Privacy Control behind a paid tier.
How does the scan work, and how often does it run?
A real headless browser visits your site cold, before any consent, and inventories every cookie (including HttpOnly ones, read from network responses, not document.cookie), every outgoing script, iframe, pixel and beacon, and every localStorage, sessionStorage and IndexedDB key. Each result is categorized against a fixed tracker-signature database, deterministically, not by AI guesswork, so it categorizes the same way every time. Scan frequency scales with your plan, from weekly on Free up to daily on Business and Agency.
Does the banner slow my site down?
It's served from a separate, cookie-less subdomain and built to load in roughly 100ms without shifting your layout. That's the engineering target we build to; if you notice otherwise on your specific setup, tell us.
Is this covered by my existing PrivacyTerms.io account, or is it separate billing?
It's a separate subscription from your document generators. You can use both, and they live in the same dashboard: your privacy policy, terms and conditions, and cookie consent banner all managed in one place.
Can I remove the "Powered by PrivacyTerms.io" badge?
Branding removal unlocks on the Business plan and above. Free, Starter and Pro show the badge on your banner.
